On 02 June 2011. 35 of our branch members set off at 09.00 hrs on the annual coach outing. This time it was to Chichester. First stop was at Itchenor for a 90 min boat trip around Chichester Harbour, which included a sandwich lunch. We were lucky to have the boat to ourselves. The weather was really fantastic with sunshine all day.
Following the boat trip, we went to the city centre and stayed there for around 2 hours free time to look around the shops etc, before leaving for the return journey back to Bexleyheath.
The whole day was enjoyed by everyone and with the raffle and bingo held on the coach, we raised £314.75 for the Lifeboat Service.

On Thursday 03 June we had our Bexleyheath branch outing to Chatham Dockyard. The weather was very good with no need for raincoats.
There were 32 of us and we travelled by coach from Bexleyheath at 09.30hrs and arrived at the dockyard at 10.00 hrs.
There were so many things to do and places to go and I still didn't manage to fit everything in. I have to go back again some time later in the year.
I made sure that the place for me to visit was the Historic Lifeboat Museum.Well worth seeing.
We also had a one and a half hour trip on the Paddle Steamer Kingswear Castle up to Gillingham and back.
On the return coach journey we drew the raffle which raised £71.00 and even though we don't set out to make this a fund raising day. The total raised on our outing for the RNLI was £171.00.
As you can see from the photo's, everyone had a good time.
